Meneta North America Invests in Fine Blanking Technology to Strengthen Local Production

To meet the growing demand for locally produced backplates, Meneta North America has expanded its Rome, Georgia, facility with two state-of-the-art fine blanking lines.

The plant also already manufactures noise-damping shims for the American market, and will now produce backplates locally, offering customers a more robust supply chain, reduced lead times, and greater flexibility.

With press forces of 800 and 1,100 tons, the two new lines are tailored to the needs of the American market, where braking systems are typically larger than in Europe or Asia.

“Our customers have been asking for local backplate production to secure a more reliable supply chain. With these new fine blanking lines, we are ready to deliver on that need. Locally, quickly, and with the quality Meneta is known for,” says Eric Denys, General Manager, Meneta North America.

“With this step, we strengthen both our production capabilities and our customer partnerships.”

Both lines are equipped with all necessary auxiliary systems, including decoiler, feeder, and straightener, and are already up and running.
